Working World headed to Europe
Working World left Evesham on Thursday 22nd March 2012
to visit a training centre in Guingamp, Brittany, France. We took 10 clients and 5 staff.
It was the first time out of England for some of the clients.
We went to Portsmouth to catch the ferry to St Malo on the overnight crossing.
We arrived at Guingamp to an extremely hospital greeting.
We spent the day at the centre, enjoying lunch made by the clients from the centre.
All who have a learning disability. Friday evening we went to a local hotel and enjoyed french
cuisine at a lovely restaurant. Saturday was spent sightseeing before making our way
to Roscoff for the overnight ferry to Plymouth. Arriving back in Evesham at mid day on Sunday.
Extremely tired but very happy. The clients gained an enormous amount from the visit.
The clients from Guingamp are coming to England to visit Working World next year.
We would like to thank the Mary Jane Foundation for making a generous donation towards the visit.
